Certified Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater
New California Energy Standards Title 24 that took effect on Oct 1,2005. The California Energy Commission requires the County or City Building Departments review a Title-24 energy calculation on your home to ensure the new construction / addition / remodels comply with California Code Efficiency Standards before a permit is issued. YOU need a HERS Rater when you build a new home, change the square footing of the house or even increase the window sizes. When a building permit is applied for after Oct 1, 2005 for residential change-out, it is a requirement for HVAC contractors to test and seal existing duct work when they replace an existing furnance, air handler,coil, outdoor condenser or packaged unit.
Residential HERS Rater is a Home Energy Rating System Rater for Title 24 Compliance
We are certified by CalCERTS which is approved by the California Energy Commission as a HERS provider (Home Energy Rating System). HERS Rater review the CF-6R form, than provide Title 24 field verification and diagnostic testing. HERS Rater will complete a CF-4R form for each job, than the HERS Rater enters the field verification and diagnostic testing results from hand written field CF-4R form into the registry (web site), if it passed testing (web site) generates an "Official" CF-4R certificate for contractor, building department, and owner.
